The New York Police Department (NYPD) has released photos of the suspect in the deadly shooting of Brian Thompson, the UnitedHealthcare CEO.

In photos shared online by CBS News, the NYPD said it would provide a $10,000 reward for information regarding the suspect in the homicide.

At a press conference, NYPD officials called it a “brazen, targeted attack.”

The suspect was seen waiting at the scene for several minutes and many people walked by, but the suspect appeared to be waiting for Thompson, police said.

“The suspect fled, first on food, then on an e-bike and was last seen in Central Park on Center Drive early this morning,” the NYPD said.

The suspect appears to be a Caucasian male, wearing black and white sneakers, a light brown or cream colored jacket, a black face mask and a “very distinctive gray backpack.”

In one photo shared by police, the suspect is seen holding out and pointing a gun. In another, the suspect is riding a bike in a crosswalk. Police said they will be working with the e-bike company to track the GPS locator in the bike.

One witness was near the scene and the NYPD is working to locate the individual.

The community is encouraged to call the NYPD with any information about the suspect.

CBS News reported that sources confirmed a silencer was used in the shooting.

Thompson was shot and killed early Wednesday. He was in town for the company’s investor conference at the Hilton hotel in Midtown. He was killed on his way to the conference.

An officer responding to a 911 call found a man with a gunshot wound to his chest just before 7 a.m. He was taken to Mount Sinai West in critical condition before he was pronounced dead.

The NYPD said its “full investigative efforts” are underway as they search for the suspect.

“I want to be clear at this time, every indication is that this was a premeditated, pre-planned, targeted attack,” police said.
